CMOR’s State Capitol Network of grassroots volunteers

Every day, legislators and regulators find new ways to endanger the survey and opinion research profession:

  • In Missouri, legislators want to add automated research calls to their Do Not Call Registry;
  • In New Hampshire, legislators seek to ban all research incentives to physicians for pharmaceutical market research;
  • In Colorado, they’re looking to curtail political polling; and
  • In Illinois, they want to ban all use of autodialers, including for research.

As an individual, you can make a difference in the fight to protect and promote the whole research profession – by volunteering as a grassroots member of the CMOR State Capitol Network.

Members of the State Capitol Network assist in monitoring and responding to legislative measures that impact the research profession, and foster positive relationships with policymakers and their staffs.

These grassroots volunteers are our eyes and ears on the ground -- at the state and local level, and in federal legislators’ districts. State Capitol Network members also gain greater knowledge about political and public policy processes, and how to be an active part of both.
