Respondent Cooperation
CMOR :: RC Articles :::
Important Message to CMOR Members:

With the launch of the “Your Opinion Counts®” program, the profession has a formal mechanism to educate the pubic about research and to vent complaints. As a result, you should not reference CMOR to respondents as the primary source for information about the research process – but instead refer them to the “Your Opinion Counts®” program (website www.youropinioncounts.org).

Respondent inquiries should no longer be forwarded to CMOR via your voicemail recordings, web links, or otherwise. Instead, we encourage you to join the YOC program and link directly to the YOC website- a more powerful way to both encourage respondent cooperation, as well as promote the long-term sustainability of the survey research profession.

Survey research organizations can now join the YOC program and refer respondents to the YOC website in order to address respondent concerns, issues, and information requests. Since all YOC members are vetted as legitimate research organizations that maintain ethical practices - respondents know that program members will respect their rights as respondents.

For more information on the program – please visit www.youropinioncounts.org or contact Patrick Glaser at pglaser@cmor.org.
