Respondent Cooperation: What We Do

Respondent Cooperation Mission
Through our respondent cooperation efforts, CMOR strives to evaluate the public's perceptions of the research process, to measure the effects of alternative methods of improving respondent cooperation, and to provide a foundation upon which to build an improved set of industry guidelines. Since its formation, CMOR has worked to increase respondent cooperation and has advocated the importance and necessity of marketing and opinion research to the general public.


Respondent Cooperation Objectives
I. Provide objective information about level of cooperation in surveys

II. Monitor the ever-changing research environment

III. Develop industry-accepted and supported solutions to improve respondent relations

IV. Educate and develop training programs for our members/members of the research community about the issues affecting respondent cooperation and of CMOR's efforts to improve participation

V. Educate the research community's external audiences, including the public, media, business, etc. about the value of research and their participation in legitimate research surveys and polls

VI.
Promote the social utility and value of survey research

VII. Act quickly to provide guidance to our members/research community about environmental issues that may affect cooperation
